In his new book, Rev. Martyn Sanders revisits the parable of the lost son. Readers are lead from the loving forgiveness of a father who throws a party for the wayward son he thought was dead, through the Old Testament sacrificial system for the forgiveness of sins, to Christ's sacrifice of atonement upon the cross.
A valuable resource for personal study and reflection or for use as a stimulus for a study group. Each of the six chapters concludes with some questions for reflection and a prayer.
Rev. Martyn Sanders had a successful career in education teaching economics and business. He was an Assistant Principal in a post-sixteen College in Hampshire, UK prior to taking up the position of Lay Assistant to the Bishop of Winchester. Subsequently, he worked within the Church of Scotland as a Pastoral Assistant. Following ordination, he became the minister of a Church of Scotland parish in rural Aberdeenshire. He has an MA in Theology from the University of Wales Trinity St David, a BA (Hons) in Economics, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education.
